Law firm expands its reach to Chipping Norton
Hedges, one of Oxfordshire’s oldest law firms, has opened in Chipping Norton.
The law firm has transformed a property on the High Street and celebrated with a party attended by leading figures in business, politics and society, including Victoria Prentis MP and artist Elaine Kazimierczuk.
Opening in Chipping Norton stretches the firm’s reach further into the Cotswolds to give Hedges a countywide presence. It follows the opening of its Summertown office in north Oxford last year, while its Wallingford office serves clients in the south of the county.
Nicola Poole, Hedges’ Managing Director said: “It’s wonderful that we’re now open in Chipping Norton and we’re looking forward to welcoming and supporting people of the town and beyond.
“We’re proud to be part of the fantastic Chipping Norton community and to have helped maintain an economically healthy and vibrant High Street. We’ve already forged some exciting relationships with local charities and businesses and we can’t wait to meet more people in the area and help where needed.
“It’s another exciting milestone in Hedges’ rich history in Oxfordshire. The business has been through four different centuries, and we’re privileged to help people across the county.”
Having sat empty for some time, the building, formerly used as a newsagents, has been restored to create a contemporary space.
Matthew Cotton, Hedges’ Senior Associate, added: “We’ve received such a warm welcome in Chipping Norton and the party was a great way to celebrate cementing our place in this wonderful community."
The expansion into Chipping Norton follows a period of growth for the employee-owned law firm, which now employs 50 members of staff. The team at the new branch offer a full range of personal legal services to the residents of Chipping Norton and the Cotswolds.
