ByBox smart lockers to be rolled out at central London EV charging hub
Slough-based supply chain manager ByBox will roll out its smart lockers to an electric vehicle (EV) charging hub at Southwark in central London thanks to a tie-up with charging provider ZeyHub.
Andy Crees, the chief operations officer at ByBox, which has over 45,000 smart lockers across more than 1,500 sites in the UK, said the deal would be delivered via its ‘locations partner’ LockerQuest.

The lockers allow field service engineers to securely collect and return equipment and parts.
"Our smart lockers are perfectly placed to allow users to pick up the essential parts they need for the day," said Crees.
"This ultimately reduces unnecessary vehicle weight and increases electric vehicle range for customers looking to transition to an electric fleet.
"Customers will also benefit from being able to return their used parts to their locker which ByBox will collect and recycle," he added.
LockerQuest CEO Jonathan White said: "Having ByBox operational at this ZevHub location makes perfect sense with many UK businesses making the transition to electric vehicles.
"This facility will only support their decision to transition even faster with the wide variety of Fast, Rapid and Ultra Rapid chargers available."
George Cook, fleet operations director at ZevHub said that the ByBox smart lockers would be a "welcome and unique addition" to its EV charging hubs.
Operating in 31 countries, ByBox delivers 30 million items per year, with 99.7% of deliveries made on time. It supports vital infrastructure including hospitals, telecoms, utilities and data centres.
Its head office is in Slough and it has distribution centres in Bristol, Coventry, Doncaster, Glasgow, Huntingdon, London, Milton Keynes, Solihull and Warrington.
