Mear's Group hails this year's ranking in Social Mobility Index
Gloucester-based Mears Group, the housing and social care provider, said it had been ranked 19th out of 150 organisations in this year's Social Mobility Index.
The top 20 place comes for the company's focus on offering employment, development, and succession opportunities to everyone, irrespective of their background and comes after the group was positioned 38th in 2023.

This year, the assessment commended Mears for its work with many schools across the UK, which is part of its approach to outreach and its initiatives working with young people.
Mears is one of the UK's leading housing solutions providers to both the public and private sector.
It manages and maintain around 450,000 homes across the UK and works mainly with central and local government typically through long-term contracts. It has more than 5,400 employees.
