Bristol’s Sugar House next in line as Hotel du Vin puts £9m towards refurb works
Hotel du Vin has marked the halfway point of a comprehensive refurbishment programme, having so far invested £9 million into renovating bedrooms at 10 of its properties.
The group appointed interior designer Anita Rosato for the project, which has involved works in Bristol’s Avon Gorge, Birmingham and Exeter – totalling some 465 rooms.
The Sugar House in Bristol city centre and Cannizaro House in Wimbledon are also due for renovation before the end of the year.
Scott Harper, chief operating officer at Malmaison and Hotel du Vin, said: “Elevating the quality of our hotels underscores our dedication to enhancing guest experience.
“With the new design concepts carefully preserving each building’s history, we aim to strengthen our connections within the local communities in which we operate.”
Anita added: “I’m incredibly lucky to have the unwavering support of the development team at Hotel du Vin.
“Even though the work we do can be quite complex and challenging, we manage to find ways to have fun with it.
“Given the unique historic nature and structure of the buildings we work with, there’s a tremendous amount of work expended to ensure that each room is preserved and presented in the best possible light, with no two rooms ever quite the same.”
