Trees for jobs at Bristol recruiter
Bristol recruitment company Kingston Barnes has sprouted a new environmentally friendly initiative. This month, the agency has begun rewarding all of its permanently placed candidates by planting a tree in their name.
Partnering with Evertreen, which helps businesses plant trees, Kingston Barnes aims to nurture a greener, more sustainable future for generations to come. By planting trees and fostering sustainable ecosystems, this partnership promises significant environmental benefits for everyone.Â
Since the partnership began in July, Kingston Barnes has planted 37 trees and offset 25.09 tonnes of CO2. The trees are planted in England and every permanently placed candidate is gifted their tree in celebration of their new career.Â
James Kingston, Managing Director at Kingston Barnes, said: "We are excited to announce a major milestone at Kingston Barnes! Starting this July, for every candidate we place into permanent employment, we will be planting and gifting a tree in partnership with Evertreen. This initiative allows us to help our candidates thrive while contributing to a greener planet. By planting a tree for every permanent placement, we offset our carbon footprint, promote environmental change, and support local communities, supporting our carbon-neutral status but helping us take the next step towards our goal of becoming a carbon negative company."
Alongside this great partnership, since May 2024, the agency has been able to call itself carbon neutral and has been certified by Carbon Neutral Britain.
