South East Angels surpasses £2m in total investments
South East Angels, an angel investor network based in Brighton, has now invested £2.1 million across 25 different startups since its inception in November 2020.
Ventures supported by the 30-strong network have spanned a wide range of sectors, including SaaS, healthcare, deep tech and fintech, with investments ranging from £25,000 to £350,000.
They include cargo bike courier Zedify, which has gone on to raise capital with Barclays Ventures, and Husmus, a platform helping both landlords and tenants find ethical insurance options – now backed by Google Ventures.
Kristina Pereckaite, director of South East Angels, said: “From the beginning, we’ve been focused on being an active and engaged angel group.
“It’s fantastic to have reached this significant milestone in just a few years’ time.
“This achievement reflects not only our commitment to supporting innovative startups, but also the incredible potential we see in founders outside the traditional investment hubs.”
To mark the milestone, South East Angels is set to host its first ever portfolio showcase, an invite-only event, on 10 December.
