He was also former CEO and head of manufacturing at the Business Growth Fund (BGF) and has a proven track record of driving profitable growth and successful exits for innovative technology companies.
The appointment comes as Sunswap and its zero-emission transport refrigeration technology prepares for its next phase of expansion, which includes scaling up its manufacturing capacity and entering new international markets.
Michael Lowe, CEO of Sunswap, said: "We were thrilled to welcome Mark as our Chairman.
"His deep industry knowledge and strategic insights have been invaluable as we scale up the production of our Endurance units and expand into new markets. Mark’s support and guidance will be crucial as we continue to grow and transform the cold chain industry."
Bryant added: "I’m excited to join Sunswap at this pivotal time. The company’s innovative approach to sustainable transport refrigeration has enormous potential to reduce emissions and costs for operators.
"I look forward to working with the team to accelerate Sunswap’s growth and make a lasting impact on the industry."
