Staff at Oxford recruitment agency Allen Associates have chosen Aspire Oxfordshire as their main beneficiary for the coming year.

An award-winning charity, Aspire works with more than 2,000 disadvantaged people across Oxfordshire every year, providing employment, enterprise development, housing and support opportunities.

All donations to the charity up to £100,000 are match funded by a local donor.

Kate Allen, founder of Allen Associates, said: “Having supported Aspire in various small ways over the years, we were aware of the amazing job that they do in helping people to overcome adversity and build sustainable futures for themselves and their families.

“So when it came to choosing our charity for the next two years, we were over the moon when our team voted for Aspire.

“Oxfordshire has served our business for more than 25 years, and giving back to our local communities has always been a fundamental part of who we are and what we believe is important.

“We’re proud to support Aspire, and it’s gratifying to know that our annual donation is match funded, which means even more people will benefit.”

Paul Roberts, CEO of Aspire, added: “Thank you to Allen Associates for choosing Aspire as their charity – and for their donation, which will go directly towards our work with people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage in Oxfordshire.

“With the ever-increasing cost of living, low unemployment rates and shortage of affordable housing, more people than ever have found themselves in desperate situations.

“It’s only through the ongoing support of individuals and businesses that we’re able to provide the tailored support they need to rebuild their lives.”

Aspire has launched its Empty to Plenty appeal to help it sustain and scale up a programme of activities across the county in the coming months.
