Oxford Metrics brings on non-executive director
Smart sensing and software firm Oxford Metrics has appointed a new non-executive director.
Oxford Metrics supplies the life sciences, engineering and smart manufacturing sectors, and is also the company behind the holographic technology on ABBA’s ongoing Voyage tour.
It’s now secured the expertise of Dr Ian Wilcock, currently group commercial director of scientific instrument maker Judges Scientific.
Ian has over 30 years’ experience in high technology, focused on the scientific instrumentation, smart sensing and test and measurement sectors.
He’s held leadership roles at Oxford Instruments, Danaher, Experian and Renishaw.
Ian said: “I’m excited to be joining the Oxford Metrics board.
“With an international client base and market-leading technologies, Oxford Metrics is well positioned to grow both organically and through acquisition, and I look forward to being part of that journey.”
Ian takes over from David Quantrell, who’s set to retire on 24 October.
Roger Parry, chair of Oxford Metrics, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Ian to the board of Oxford Metrics.
“Ian’s strong track record of M&A and growing businesses globally, gained throughout his career in technology businesses, brings highly relevant expertise to the group.
“His experiences will be invaluable as we execute on our five-year plan.
“I’d also like to thank David for his invaluable input over the past six years, and on behalf of all the board, we wish him well in his future endeavours.”
