Cheltenham pub marks fifth venue for West Country landlord duo
A new pub from landlord pair Tom Noest and Peter Creed is set to open in Cheltenham on Friday 26 July.
Bringing the duo’s portfolio up to five venues, The Tivoli marks their first foray into a more urban domain, with the new venue opening in the heart of the town on Andover Road.
The Tivoli has been restored and renovated with the rural feel of Tom and Peter’s previous pubs, including the Sherborne Arms and the recently revamped Bell Inn at Langford.
Interiors will feel ‘familiar and comfortable’, with furniture sourced from local antique fairs and restorers.
There’ll be a large bar area and two floors for dining – including two private rooms for parties, events and large groups – with 120 covers throughout.
Among the dishes on the new seasonal menu are devilled kidneys on toast, pigs head scrumpet and salad lyonnaise, and flourless Valrhona chocolate cake.
The venue will also serve pub snacks and daily lunch specials, with regular chicken and steak nights.
As for drinks, beers from Cheltenham’s Deya Brewery will be available on draft, including the new Publican IPA.
Tom and Peter said: “We’ve been lucky enough to take on and restore some great buildings so far, and we’re excited to be stretching our wings a bit with The Tivoli.
“It’s a legendary spot to those who’ve been in Cheltenham for a while, or grew up around here, so it felt like a natural fit for us.
“We welcome lots of the urban crowd who drive out to our rural pubs, so we’re looking forward to bringing our own slice of the countryside to their doorsteps.”
Once upon, the Tivoli is set to host live music nights, as well as showings of key sport fixtures, and screening opportunities for local businesses and private hires.
